# Switching to development mode

The Development mode enables extra tools for users wishing to develop their own templates or work with the most advanced features available in DPG.

To switch on Development mode, open the **Edit mode** panel. 

Select **Advanced** from the dropdown and click **Update**.

Under the **Advanced Options**, toggle the **Development** switch to the on position and click **Update**.
