# Image search options

By default DPG sites allow images to be indexed by search engines.

To change the indexing options, first you should switch to [Advanced edit mode](https://support.digitalphotogallery.com/articles/article/d88dbebc-ac1a-11e2-b218-f23c91703874), then you can change the behaviour by using the options in the **search engines** panel which can be found on you website's admin screen.

> ⚠️ **Warning:** If your images have already been indexed it may take several months for them to be removed as search engines can be slow to make changes.
