# Print Space / CreativeHub

### Using The Print Space / CreativeHub print fulfilment with DPG

> ⚠️ **Warning:** This guide also covers the first release of DPG print fulfilment. In this release, DPG can store **The Print Space / CreativeHub** account details and product mappings, but **automated order submission to CreativeHub is not yet enabled**.

#### What this setup is for

Use this provider if you want to prepare DPG for a CreativeHub-based print workflow.

In the current DPG release, you can:

* connect a The Print Space / CreativeHub account in Services
* mark product options as **Print provider**
* store variant-level CreativeHub mapping details such as SKU, Product id and Variant id
* prepare your catalogue for a later CreativeHub fulfilment release

In the current DPG release, you cannot yet:

* upload images from DPG into CreativeHub automatically
* create CreativeHub catalogue items from DPG automatically
* submit paid DPG orders to CreativeHub automatically
* receive live CreativeHub order-status updates into DPG automatically

> 💡 **Tip:** If you need a live end-to-end automated print workflow today, use **Prodigi** for the first release.

- - -

#### Before you start

* You must be signed in as an **administrator**. Only administrators can see **Services > Print Providers**.
* You need a CreativeHub account and API key.
* Your high-resolution files must be uploaded into CreativeHub directly.
* Your print options and saleable SKUs must be created in CreativeHub directly.
* Your product option in DPG should normally use **Type: Standard**, not **Image**.

> ⚠️ **Warning:** The public CreativeHub flow DPG is built around is catalogue-based. That means DPG needs the CreativeHub SKU or catalogue identifiers for a print option rather than sending a brand new image file at checkout.

- - -

#### Step 1: Prepare the catalogue in CreativeHub

Before you map anything inside DPG:

1. Upload the image files to CreativeHub.
2. Create the required print options in CreativeHub.
3. Note the identifiers you will need later, especially:

* **SKU**
* **Product id**, if available
* **Variant id** or print-option id, if available

> 💡 **Tip:** Filename matching is not a safe long-term workflow. Treat the CreativeHub SKU and provider ids as the real fulfilment keys.

- - -

#### Step 2: Connect The Print Space / CreativeHub in Services

1. Open [Services](https://admin.digitalphotogallery.com/account/services).
2. Open the **Print Providers** section.
3. Click **Connect**.
4. Choose **Provider: The Print Space / CreativeHub**.
5. Complete the fields:

* **Label**: optional internal name for this connection
* **Environment**: choose the environment that matches your CreativeHub credentials
* **Provider account reference**: optional external account id or note
* **API key**: required
* **Webhook secret**: optional in the current DPG release
* **Active**: enabled inside DPG

6. Save the connection.

- - -

#### Step 3: Create or edit the product option in DPG

1. Open [Sales](https://admin.digitalphotogallery.com/account/sales).
2. Edit the product you want to prepare for CreativeHub fulfilment.
3. In **Product Options**, add or edit the print option.
4. Set the option like this:

* **Type**: **Standard**
* **Fulfilment**: **Print provider**
* **Cost**: your customer-facing selling price

5. Save the product.
6. Re-open the product editor.

> 💡 **Tip:** DPG hides print-provider options from the website unless they have an active provider mapping.

- - -

#### Step 4: Add the CreativeHub mapping

After the product has been saved with a print-provider option, the **Print Provider Mappings** section appears.

For each option you want to prepare for CreativeHub:

* **Provider**: choose your The Print Space / CreativeHub connection
* **Mode**: choose **Provider catalogue item**
* **SKU**: enter the CreativeHub SKU
* **Product id**: enter the CreativeHub product id if you have it
* **Variant id**: enter the CreativeHub variant or print-option id if you have it
* **Print area**: leave blank unless you have a specific internal need
* **Sizing**: store only if it is meaningful for your own mapping notes

Save the product again after adding the mapping.

- - -

#### Important limitation in the current release

Although DPG stores the provider account and mapping details, the current release does **not** send live orders to CreativeHub.

If a paid DPG order reaches the CreativeHub path in the current release:

* the DPG website order is still created normally
* a print-provider order record may be created inside DPG
* the CreativeHub submission step will fail with a message explaining that automated order submission is not enabled in this release

> ⚠️ **Warning:** Do not switch live customer orders to The Print Space / CreativeHub until the image-specific catalogue mapping and automated submission flow have been completed in DPG.

- - -

#### What is still missing for full CreativeHub fulfilment

DPG still needs the following before CreativeHub can be used as a live automated fulfilment path:

* an image-specific mapping screen that links each DPG image and print option to the matching CreativeHub catalogue item
* automated CreativeHub order submission from paid website orders
* callback or polling support for CreativeHub fulfilment updates

> 💡 **Tip:** The database and internal provider architecture already support this direction. The missing part is the final user-facing setup and live submission flow.

- - -

#### How to test the current CreativeHub setup safely

The safest current test is a configuration test, not a live paid fulfilment test.

Use this checklist:

1. Connect the CreativeHub account in Services.
2. Create a print-provider option on a product.
3. Save and re-open the product.
4. Add the CreativeHub SKU and related ids in **Print Provider Mappings**.
5. Confirm the product option remains visible and correctly mapped inside DPG.
6. Do not rely on a live website order to reach CreativeHub yet.

- - -

#### Troubleshooting

**The Print Providers section is missing**

* Make sure you are signed in as an **administrator**.

**The Print provider fulfilment option is missing in Product Options**

* DPG only shows that option after at least one active print provider account has been connected.

**What should I use for Type?**

* For a print product, use **Type: Standard**.
* Do not use **Type: Image** for CreativeHub print fulfilment.

**Can DPG upload files to CreativeHub for me?**

* Not in the current release.
* Upload the files directly in CreativeHub and build the print options there first.

**Can I launch this provider live today?**

* Not for automated fulfilment in the current release.
* Use it for account setup and mapping preparation only.

#### Recommended current workflow

* Use **Prodigi** if you need live automated print fulfilment now.
* Use **The Print Space / CreativeHub** if you want to prepare a catalogue-led workflow for a later DPG release.
* Keep your CreativeHub SKUs and product ids organised now, because those will become the key mapping values later.
