You can add postage or shipping costs to your shop by creating Shipping Rules. Shipping Rules are made up of Conditions, which allow you to set out different shipping costs for your customers based on things like shipping country or order total.
The rules-based system means that you can make multiple shipping rules, which are as simple or specific as you need them to be.
Shipping is applied to each order rather than per item.
Navigating to Shipping
You can find the shipping options by going to Sales from the main menu and clicking on the Shipping tab.
Creating a new shipping rule
Click the Create button, give your shipping rule a name and click Create to confirm. You can change the name in the future if you need to.
You can now fill out the conditions of this shipping rule, such as the shipping country or order total.
Click Create to add conditions. Open the Details panel in the sidebar to add a description, cost and other details.
The name and description will be seen by customers at checkout, so make sure they are accurate and descriptive.
Repeat this process to create additional rules as necessary.
Condition matching allows you to choose between the all and any setting.
All means that all the conditions must be met for the rule to apply.
Any means the rule will apply if any one of the rules is met.
Check and test
Check over your list of rules to make sure that all possible orders are covered by the rules without clashes.
Rules apply in the order that they are arranged on the shipping screen. When your customer checks out, the first applicable rule will be applied to their order.
Arrange rules in order of priority by dragging the icon on the left.
