You can set the default option for new sets on the Images settings screen.
General - Display order
You can change the order of sets and images by using the icon in the options bar. Choosing custom will allow you to drag and drop images and sets in to an order that you choose.
Custom - ASC: New images will be added to the end.
Custom - DESC: New images will be added at the start.
You can set the default view for new sets on the Device settings screen.
